One of the most underrated ways to increase your reach across X is through utilizing replies. The "reply guy" strategy has been a foundation for a lot of users follower growth. Especially if you're earlier on, trying to gain traction, or you're busy and don't have time to spend hours scrolling through the timeline.

Here's how we've assembled the ultimate timeline experience for you so you can speed run your replies.

Customize your feed through your sources tab

Every day on the smart replies page, we are serving you the most relevant posts in your industry. We pull up relevant conversations for you based on your preset preferences and what we've learned about your account.

On your sources tab you can create high-touch customization. You can set some of your sources as different communities, lists, keywords, and specific users across both X and LinkedIn.

Experiment with different communities and lists until you find the right balance of content. Some sources might feel aligned, but are not your core target. Continue to refine until your replies feel super dialed in.

The goal is every post should be something you're interested in and you're excited to reply to. So continue refining until it feels that way!

Say the perfect thing every time

To improve the auto-generated responses click the "Customize reply style" button and we give you the ability to customize what type of responses you want, and your reply style.

Here you can use natural language to decide what type of responses you want you want to be surfaced in your feed. We are pulling into other factors that we know about you through the content. Imagine the perfect post that you want to reply about. The best targeting is people talking about the problem that your product solves.

That is a simple way to integrate your solution into the comments.

Or if your goal is to increase your impressions in your niche, pick specific topics that would only appear in those chats.

Specify your reply style. We utilizing simple and short responses. Something you would actually say. We also use your context of what we know about you to help inform how each custom response is generated.

If the replies you're getting you don't like, continue to play with the input. When you suggest changes our system learns and adapts to exactly what you're looking for. The goal is for it to sound just like you, and be thoughts that you might even have to these posts.

Replying to LinkedIn content

You can also get your replies in on LinkedIn. On X we do direct posting through our API, but for LinkedIn we open up directly to the post and you can either post it directly or the comment will be previewed as a response (depending on your browser.)

This is an additional step to publishing through their API but it is better for account health. While LinkedIn doesn't mind using post scheduling, it doesn't want you to post replies via DMs, so this is a very simple way through it.

Reply history

On your smart reply history tab, you can see all of the posts you've done through. This is to keep a full-ledger so you can confirm if a post went well, and also saves what posts went through there.

On your analytics tab there are deeper analytics around your reply history and success around reach. This is the best place to actually see the success from your reply strategy.

How much engagement you've gotten and how many views you've gotten on those replies.
